What the SBA will do for you

In my personal opinion and I do invite others to set me straight in case I should be wrong here; Of all of the federal programs that need to be abolished, no one organization has probably slowed the American economy more, and wasted more time, than that of the SBA with the exception of the Federal Reserve System.

The SBA is one of those organizations that were created solely for the dual purpose of appeasing the peasants and of course making nefarious opportunities for those that are graced with the support of insiders or know how to milk a system.

Every time there is a call for the Government to do something about the economy and jobs, the government department heads will haul out the SBA, dust it off again and grant it more funds for those who are in the good graces.

Has the SBA ever been a factor in creating jobs or lessoning the burdens of a bad economy for small business? No it hasn’t and if you think that it has, please ask yourself if you personally know of any one who has benefited from the SBA. Most folks who have tried to run the gauntlet of the SBA will laugh first and then shudder at the prospects of doing it again.

What the SBA will do for you however should you be foolish enough to jump through all of their hoops will be to ensure that you do not fail to fill out any of the government forms and to ensure that all of the government organizations are aware of your presence. They will make sure that you do not miss a single tax form and that you will comply with all rules, regulations and fees associated with business, your or not.

Once you have complied with all of the red tape and done your ground work completed your business plan etc, etc, you will normally find that the SBA will grant you a loan based primarily on the fact that you would have qualified for a loan in the first place from a bank on your own, unless of course you’re one of the favored ones. Other than the fact that it makes you get your ducks in order, what benefit does the SBA provide for you?

Even today with the President’s third or fourth offer of assistance from the SBA to small businesses, eye roll inserted here, I still find that if you no longer qualify for a loan from a bank, and many businesses these days no longer can, due to the economy, you will not find any funding from the SBA either. Well the special funds will go some place but probably not toward a business needing funds to stay alive.

So I ask you, are we any better off with the SBA in business or would we be better off if the SBA never existed and government could not use this ruse to escape responsibility?

Wouldn’t this be a good place to start reducing the size of government and government sponsored fraud?

Equally Unpalatable Dino Rossi?

I felt cheated and let down by my fellow man when Clint Didier did not get his chance to defeat Patty Murray later this fall. We needed someone like Clint to be elected to the US Senate in order to start the process of restoring freedom to our nation once again.

The first problem I think was the fact that there were far too many contenders in the primary and a substantial amount of votes were siphoned off by those that had no reasonable expectations to win.

Second reason I think is the fact that so few folks get involved enough to properly educate themselves to the issues at hand and I sure do wish that these folks would refrain from voting until they bone up on things a bit. I believe that a few years of living in a totalitarian state would bring them around but by then it would be far too late, wouldn’t it?

Third reason is the money; it is very difficult to get folks to contribute the kind of dollars that is required in order to educate the voters sufficiently as to the real reasons and issues that they need to consider before voting for a candidate.

I certainly hope that I’m wrong but Dino Rossi, in my estimation, probably wants the Senate seat for reasons other than saving our country from run away congress or restoring our freedom. I would guess that he refused to fill out the questionnaire given him by the C4L folks because he could not answer the questions without either lying through his teeth or tipping his hand.

Dino has also distanced himself from the Tea Party folks because he could not begin to and did not want to try to measure up with folks such as Clint Didier and he relied instead on his past name recognition and the fat wallets of the politico Mafia. I seriously doubt that Dino will have ethics superior to that of Patty Murray but at least he doesn’t have such a head start at the trough.

It is heart breaking however to realize that your only chance to remove the infamous Patty Murray from congress is to vote for someone who appears on the surface to be as equally unpalatable.

Well it may be too late to save Washington DC via the voting process, although I certainly hope not, but we may have to eventually put on our buckskins or colonial garb, load up our Kentucky long rifles and descend on Washington with the fervid task of firing the entire lot and reforming the Federal Government anew. However we still have folks like Heidi Munson and others, if you look for them, that have a chance to win at the state and local level and perhaps we can start rebuilding America on a state by state basis.

Any way, keep your powder dry and be sure to vote wisely again this fall.

Reply to NY prosecutor's unlawful confiscation of knives

Cyrus R. Vance Jr.
District Attorney
One Hogan Place
New York, NY 10013

I find your rationale concerning your attempts to undermine the citizen’s right to carry and use folding knives seriously flawed and dangerous to the underlying principles of a free society.

Your offensive and illegal attack on private business, the confiscation of their property, levee of fines and threats and intimidation is unconscionable and reminiscence of Chicago style extortion by the Mafia.

Where on earth did you ever get the idea that you were so above the law? One can only conclude that you are a part of the new lawless and blatant progressive movement who are attempting to destroy the little remaining freedom that our country clings to.

I noticed in your campaign that you were concerned with the safety of your district but how are the law abiding citizens going to stay safe from a prosecutor that operates outside of the law.

You also claim that fairness stems from your skills; I think that your victims (business owners) would certainly differ with that notion.

Don’t think for a minute that our society will let you get away with such a seditious action and if you should succeed, prepare yourself for the aftermath.

When will your kind ever learn that the more laws that you create, the more criminals we will have. Making criminals out of law abiding citizens is not going to reduce crime and those that are predisposed to crime in the first place are not going to give a damn about any new law that was created in a lame effort to hamper their lawlessness.

Cutlery is one of mans most useful tools and is essential for mans subsistence and survival. I have spent nearly 35 years of making knives of various styles and have been a part of a growing community of people who make, use and collect knives. I feel as though these folks are the most trustworthy members of the community and I will place my faith in them.

These are very trying days and our country’s survival is at stake. I know that the most danger comes, not so much from the thug on the street, but from overzealous politicians who think that they are above the law and who will use any excuse to further their position and greed. If you want to stop the violence in New York, stand aside and let the people create jobs for themselves.
